Albuquerque, NM — Merge Modern Art Gallery proudly announces its grand opening exhibition, On the Verge, launching Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Located inside Catalyst Coffee (6010 Coors Blvd NW #2, Albuquerque, NM), Merge Modern brings a fresh, collaborative energy to the Westside’s growing art community. The exhibition will remain on view through January 31, 2026.
Merge Modern operates as a unique gallery and café model, housed within Catalyst Coffee. Together, they merge art and atmosphere, inviting visitors to enjoy winter treats, crafted drinks, and conversation surrounded by local art. The opening reception will transform the space into a celebration of creativity and community, featuring a live set by DJ Maizze from 7 to 9 p.m. for a dance party style artist reception.
The inaugural exhibition features an exciting lineup of local artists whose work explores story, connection, and transformation: Juliana Coles, David Estes, Geo Evans, Ben Harrison, Jodie Herrera, Maewyn Padilla, Angie Rehnberg, Eric Romero, Kyle Velez, and Carolyn Wolf. From kinetic sculpture to symbolic painting and mixed media, each artist brings a distinctive voice to the visual dialogue of On the Verge.
Guests are invited to enjoy art, community, and connection at this one of a kind Westside gathering. Admission is free and open to the public.
