Our upcoming session features Brett Clark AM, one of Brisbane and Australia’s most distinguished business and community leaders.

Brett is a Pharmacist and founder of ePharmacy and a Partner at Chemist Warehouse,
Australia’s largest retail Ph*rm*cy chain with more than 24,000 staff and revenues exceeding $8 billion across 4 countries. He also serves as a Chair of Queensland Rugby Union and Chair of Queensland Ballet, playing a key role in shaping the future of the sport and art in the state. Additionally, Brett is a member of the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, where he is helping to prepare the city for one of the most significant global events in its history.

Brett is known for his integrity, visionary leadership, and ability to navigate complex challenges, making him a guiding force in the business world and beyond.

We invite you to hear directly from Brett as he shares his remarkable journey, offering personal insights and strategies that have propelled him to the top of his field. About Brett Clark AM, Founder of ePharmacy and Partner, Chemist Warehouse

Brett is a prominent Australian business leader and philanthropist. He co-founded ePharmacy and is the Managing Partner for Chemist Warehouse in Queensland and Northern NSW. Clark also serves as the Chair of the Queensland Rugby Union and Queensland Ballet and was appointed in 2022 as a director for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games Organising Committee. He has held key roles in various not-for-profit organizations and is a Patron of the Mater Foundation. Brett has a Ph*rm*cy Degree and MBA from the University of QLD .

About Juliet Alabaster, Chief Operating Officer, Brisbane Economic Development Agency

Juliet is a distinguished tourism and economic development leader. Beginning her career in events and hospitality, she joined Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) in 2008 and served in several senior business and event attraction roles before being appointed Chief Operating Officer three years ago.

Juliet oversees BEDA’s operations and administration, developing and implementing whole-of-business strategies and partnerships which have seen Brisbane attract record investment, visitation, and business growth in recent years. She instigated the Visitor Economy 2031: Vision for the Brisbane Region, implemented the city’s first International Incentives Strategy, and she led efforts to successfully secure several major events that now form part of Brisbane’s annual social calendar.

With a strategic mindset and a deep passion for innovation, Juliet has played a pivotal role in shaping the local economic landscape. Under her leadership, BEDA has become a promotional powerhouse for the city, running sophisticated business growth, investment attraction and major event campaigns to support Brisbane’s global development and connectivity. Juliet’s ability to forge strong partnerships across government, industry, and community sectors has been critical in advancing Brisbane's economic agenda.

Juliet is a Non-Executive Director of City Parklands Services, Non-Executive Director of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council and Deputy Chair of the Queensland Regional Tourism Network.
