On-Camera | Baseline | Youth 10-12In TV/ Film acting, actors bring stories to life in front of the camera. This baseline course teaches actors how to create fun, yet truthful characters and get comfortable working on-camera. Through exercises and basic scene work, actors will develop tools and techniques for diving into a variety of characters.
Class focal points:
• specificity, subtlety, nuance
• sensory and imagination exercises
• connecting with partner and audience
• adjusting performance for each specific shot
• TV/Film Acting vs. Stage acting
• script analysis and character development
• building confidence by making bold choices

prereq: Intro to TV + Film class. Students must have the ability to process text, understand its meaning and integrate what the other reader already knows. Students must also have emotional maturity. Disruptive students will be asked to leave the classroom.

Fall semester dates: August 18, August 25, September 1, September 8, September 15, September 22, September 29, October 6, October 13, October 20, October 27, November 3, November 10, November 17, December 1, December 8.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Arhley Brazoban
Having lived in various different states all over the country, experience is something Arhley has been able to accumulate plenty of. Originally an east-coaster born in New York and raised in New Jersey, the arts has always surrounded Arhley. It only took 3 years until he found the passion for acting and after his first role on stage he has studied and pursued the craft with great enthusiasm. Said passion has led him to study and graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and participate in projects from New York, to Los Angeles, to now here in Atlanta, Georgia. Since arriving in Georgia mid last year, he has appeared in 5 different commercials for brands such as Geico, Smart Water, and Popeyes. With each experience there is something to grow from, and Arhley can’t wait to pass along that growth to others who have the same passion we have here at Catapult.
