ON-CAMERA | BASELINE | ADULTS | 6:15-9:15pmThis class is for the actor with little to no film/TV experience. This course will focus on the basics of on-camera acting and provide the tools necessary to bring characters to life on screen. Students will build a foundation of knowledge including the basics of cinematic storytelling, the audition process, and the history of on-camera acting. Students will learn by doing through weekly rehearsal and by shooting on camera scenes with other actors.
Class focal points:
Learn the foundations for on camera acting
Understand industry terminology + crew positions / responsibilities
Gain valuable experience working on camera + in front of a class

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Patrick Hogan
Patrick Hogan is thrilled to be a member of the Catapult family! Originally from Charlotte, Patrick attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he found his love for acting. Upon graduating with a BA in Drama, he began his professional acting career. Patrick is best known for his roles on Turn (AMC), Sleepy Hollow(FOX), Good Behavior (TNT), Cipher (SY-FY), as well as over 30 national and regional commercials.
As he continued his acting career he began directing and teaching acting classes, and soon discovered a new passion, sharing his love and knowledge of acting with students. He has taught acting classes since 2010 and developed a film program that teaches students the entire film making process from pre-production to post. Patrick feels incredibly lucky to be able to work with students and help them strengthen their craft and achieve their goals.
