In November, Brother James “Jimmy” Albert Clemons, Jr. will be celebrating his 75th Anniversary in our illustrious fraternity. We will honor and recognize him during a Diamond Anniversary Jubilee on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the West Cal Cam Arena and Event Center in Sulphur, LA. The festivities will commence at 6:00 P.M. with a cocktail hour featuring saxophonist Jeremy “JB Saax” Benoit. This will be followed by a banquet during which we will recognize Bro. Clemons as well as our Achievement Week awardees.
At the conclusion of the banquet, we will be entertained by the Total Control Band featuring a guest appearance by our own brother saxophonist Michael Kittling. We are thrilled to extend to you an opportunity to support and be a part of this iconic event.
The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C. on November 17, 1911. Since that day we have been dedicated to the uplift of humanity through community service. Bro. Clemons was initiated into our fraternity on November 11, 1949, on the campus of Southern University and A&M College (Beta Sigma Chapter) in Baton Rouge, LA. In 1955 he helped charter the Rho Chi Chapter in Lake Charles, LA.
Semi-formal/Cocktail attire is required. Reserved tables, that seat 8, may be purchased for $1,000.00. General admission tickets are $75.00 each.
