We will be traveling to Puerto Nuevo - the legendary lobster village. After the San Diego / San Ysidro border crossing, we will hug the coastline of Tijuana and Rosarito for a 45 minutes drive south on a modern toll road. The drive along the coast is very different and a stimulating experience! Once we enter the arches of the village, we will find 30+ Langostino houses, Mexican art, crafts, furniture, glass, pottery, and clothing. There is a pharmacy for those who want to pick up meds to take to the US.
The Baja Langostino is a “squat lobster” or tuna crab. They are not true lobsters but look and taste like them with sweet and delicate meat. Pleuroncodes planipes for the nerds.
