ABOUT FESTIVAL
In 2013, Dylan Rohde, founder, and owner of The Backline Comedy Theater, started the Omaha Improv Fest to share his love of improv comedy with Omaha. Year by year this grassroots festival grew by leaps and bounds. After 2019 it was rebranded as the Omaha Comedy Fest as more and more eclectic comedic talent sought out this midwestern Mecca of comedy. This year will be the Fest’s most ambitious year with plans to showcase over 70 acts all over the Omaha metro area.
This festival cannot work without the support of the community. We can’t wait to host you and share our city with you.
Four-time Arena winners at the Backline, Pandora’s Suggestion Box kicks off the night with their fast pace, followed by Fest Fundraiser competition winners Nun’s at the Bar. Also in this block is Biscuits, one of the most fun and quick improv teams you can catch right here in Omaha, followed by a one man musical improv set from Nebraska Native Matt Geiler.

Stand-up Showcase at the Jewell | 9pm-11pm
This stand-up comedy show features some of the best up and coming comedians from across the entire country. With a variety of comedic styles, voices, and opinions this showcase has something for everyone. Each performer was selected from over hundreds of applicants and has brought their best material to the Omaha Comedy Festival and you won’t want to miss the laughs.
