Are you interested in preserving Omagh’s Heritage? Come along to our meeting on Tuesday 9th September 2025 at 1930 in Omagh Community House, Drumragh Avenue. You will be very welcome as we need more people to take an active and positive interest in making known our rich history. There are a range of areas which we are actively tackling such as remembering Omagh’s Workhouse and Gaol. We also will have a huge task as the St Lucia Barracks site faces an uncertain future. We are actively working with the Council to ensure Omagh’s Heritage is recognised and preserved for future generations. We welcome positive support so do your best in lobbying your local Councillors and speaking positively about Omagh and stressing its importance.As we enter European Heritage Week, there is a great opportunity to learn more by participating it one of the activities which are taking place this week.
