Seed Song Farm & Center is thrilled to announce the return of our Saturday morning coffee hour. New and long-time members of the Seed Song community are welcome to join for our first coffee hour of the growing season the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend on May 25 at 10 am at Seed Song Farm, rain or shine.
This coffee hour is lovingly hosted by Farmer’s Wife Lisa Mitten in honor of her Dutch grandmother, Oma. Growing up, Lisa spent many summers in a village in the Netherlands that resembles Kingston in many ways. She relished biking to family farms, shelling peas with her grandparents, and eating warm stroopwafels at the farmers market in the central square. Each Saturday morning at 10am, Lisa’s Oma hosted coffee hour in which Lisa’s cousins, aunts, uncles, and elders gathered for coffee.
Please join Lisa this Saturday, May 25th at 10am for our first coffee hour of the season!

Volunteer Work Party! Saturday May 25, 8am-10am and 11am-1pm
(Enjoy Oma Lisa's Coffee Hour 10-11am attached to your volunteer shift)
Help us keep up with both farm and community work during this busy time of year! Transplanting seedlings is the main event if weather cooperates, but there are tasks for all abilities and all weather - from cutting out fliers, to potting up plants, to preparing the Indigenous Three Sisters planting, to setting locust fence posts around our new Community Land Plots and Event Lawn.
For anyone who can give a solid 2 hours of volunteering, you can either apply the hours to your CSA exchange OR receive a small thank-you from the farm store.
