Join us for a night of food, education, and mushroom poetry, to kick off your fungi fest weekend doors Open at 4pm, keynote presentation begins at 4:30, dinner service begins at 5:45, last call for alcohol 8:00.Kick off our Friday keynote event with Speaker Langdon Cook. One of OPFF's original speakers in 2021 and returning each year since this renowned author and mushroom forager captivates an audience. In moving the Friday keynote to the its new home at the beautiful Field Hall we knew Langdon was the perfect speaker to pair with this wonderful event.
Following our keynote presentation Lesley Wheeler, author of Mycocosmic, will take the stage for a mushroom themed poetry reading to help us prepare for dinner service
Following Lesley Wheelers Mushroom themed Poetry reading dinner service will begin. This year's dinner is mushroom focused with a vegan friendly and gluten free menu. The 4 course dinner incorporates mushrooms in each dish highlighting both cultivated and foraged mushrooms from the area. Menu created and provided by New Day Eatery.
