Olympic Day is a global celebration commemorating Baron Pierre de Coubertin's founding of the International Olympic Committee on June 23, 1894. Based on the pillars of “Move, learn, discover—Together for a better world,” the National Olympic Committees deploy sports, cultural, and educational activities aimed at everybody, regardless of age, gender, social background, or sporting ability.On Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 11 am to 3 pm, the Lake Placid Olympic Museum invites you to our Olympic Day Friendship Bracelets Craft Activity. This program blends sport with culture and education to teach visitors of all ages about the three Olympic values: Excellence, Respect, and Friendship. Make an Olympic-inspired friendship bracelet while learning ways you can contribute to building a peaceful and better world starting in your community!
