Olympian Throws Clinic with Raven Saunders, Sam Mattis, and Curtis Thompson

This clinic is designed to give athletes an opportiunity to learn from USA Olympians in shot put, discus, and javelin! Your instruction will include insight from 3x USA Olympian, Raven Saunders in the shot put, 2x USA Olympian, Sam Mattis in the discus, and 2x USA Olympian, Curtis Thompson in the javelin! We will teach techniques that every thrower, from beginner to collegiate athletes, can take away and throw farther as we prep for summer national meets and the summer season! The instruction will cover proper warmup and stretching to avoid injury and be primed to perform, drills to incorporate into your weekly training, throwing and mechanics in the ring and on the runway, and throw by throw critique on a series of full throws. This clinic is loaded with information and will be beneficial for athletes, coaches, and parents! (Parents, coaches, and caregivers are welcome to accompany their athlete or athletes attending to listen in to any or all of the instruction at no cost).

Here is our tentative schedule:

June 11th and 12th: 2-day Javelin clinic from 9am-4pm

June 11th: Shot Put clinic from 9am-4pm

June 12th: Discus clinic from 9am-4PM
