British Alternative Folk artist Ollie Dixon brings his immersive, cinematic sound to 12 Bar for a special headline show celebrating the journey toward his upcoming EP Rebirth. With over 53,000 Spotify streams for breakout single Byegone, support from BBC Introducing, and a reputation for soul-stirring live sets, Ollie’s music is steeped in vulnerability, reverb-drenched guitars, and ambient textures that echo the landscapes he loves.
His latest single Solace marks a turning point – a meditative exploration of calm found in chaos, born from a literal moment of stillness under the waves in Cornwall. The track blends acoustic and electric guitars, layered violins, arpeggiated synths, and sampled drums to create what Ollie calls “cinematic ambient folk” – a sound both expansive and intimate.
