In honor of Olivine Marie Cree, alongside those who passed away while living outdoors and people currently experiencing the challenges of living outdoors. This will the first annual Olivine Memorial Dinner. We decided to outreach directly and meet people where they are due to the on going crisis in our city. 📣 We are creating an event because we need assistance with volunteers: cook, Taco assembly, and drivers, and in search of some donations! Toppings, packaging materials, forks greatly needed and appreciated!
✨✨✨✨Meeting at Goody bar and grill to assemble tacos at 4pm, outreach immediately to follow.
A bit about Olivine:
She was born in North Dakota 6/11/62. She was 61 years young when she passed. She struggled with being unhoused at times, she was very involved in the homeless community.. looking out for people, feeding people, she’d give the coat off her back if needed. The more generous person I’ve ever known. She’s a grandmother and LOVED her grand babies.
Because she was so intertwined with the unhoused community and I know some personal stories and struggles of some of those individuals, I just feel my mom would want me to give back in the way to honor her memory.. she was a giver 🕊️🕯️-Myla Cree Daughter
**Volunteering, donating or sharing with others will assist us in honoring this beautiful indigenous woman and carry out her legacy in a good way.
You are still a good person even if you don't have a roof over your head. You are loved. #Macsgotyourback
