POST-PUNK PERFECTION COMES TO HAMPTON – OLDFIELD YOUTH CLUBFormed in Autumn 2018 Oldfield Youth Club is made up of 75% of critically acclaimed 1980's pop group The Last Party (2 No. Peel Sessions & Melody Maker Single of the Week with their debut single ‘Mr Hurst’).
Recently described as ‘Post-Punk Perfection’ they feature Simon Rivers (also ex Bitter Springs), Neil Palmer & Kim Rivers (all from Hampton) with the addition of the multi talented Allison Thomson on keys/trumpet/vocals.
‘Rivers’ caustic wit casts an omniscient eye over England, creating characters to be loved and loathed; he provides a commentary of normal life that is both warming and alarming.’ (Echoes & Dust)
Recent gigs in London and Margate promoting their debut album ‘The Hanworth are Coming’ have been a triumph and they are looking forward to playing songs from the Album (and from their new forthcoming Album – a work in progress) at Hampton Hub in
August.

SPECIAL GUEST : SONG-WRITER/SINGER EXTRAORDINAIRE - R J HACKER
South London born singer songwriter RJ Hacker - sometimes known simply as 'Hacker' - has been one half of the 'urban country' duo Morton Valence for many years, as well as participating in a whole host of collaborations with the likes of BJ Cole, Band of Holy Joy and Alabama 3, to mention just 3.
Finally in 2025 he has decided to strike out on his own and we are delighted to have him on the line up tonight as a very special guest.
