Dear fencing enthusiast, Irina Embrich IREM founder | Gold medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021 and Fencing club IREM invites you to take part in the very first Tallinn’s amateur fencing cup to test your skills against fellow fencing enthusiasts. Organizers: Fencing club IREM fb.com/klubIREM | [email protected] Competition Date and Location: 1 June at 11:00 Sõle Sports Center Sõle 40a, 10317 Tallinn Eligibility: Amateurs affiliated or non-affiliated with fencing clubs can participate. Amateurs are defined as: Fencing Classification: Not classified on any national or international fencing classification lists in the last 15 years (epee, saber, foil, or modern pentathlon). Age: Do not have any fencing experience before turning 18 years old. Entry fee: 30 euros Registration: By submitting the form https://forms.gle/FBNEg2hpFTNMXXCL7 Organizers will check amateur status and competitive history. They reserve the right to accept or exclude anyone. Registered participants will receive an email with confirmation. Eligibility: Amateurs affiliated or non-affiliated with fencing clubs can participate. Formula: One round of pools, without preliminary direct elimination, followed by a direct elimination table to determine final results Shared pools for men and women Pools (5-7 people). Fights up to 5 touches for up to 3 minutes Ranking list based on the group stage Direct elimination fights based on the ranking list, up to 15 touches for up to 3 rounds with a 1-minute break Based on the final results, places will be determined in two categories: Me Women Referees: Provided by the organizer and apply FIE regulations. Equipment Control: Competitors must use level 1 or level 2 protective equipment Including: Mask Glove Fencing Socks Jacket, breeches Plastron Chest Protector (women) ------------------------------------------------------------------ Referees will be conducting weapon inspections using weights and feeler gauges before every bout.
