An Evening of Film, Conversation & Celebration

Join us for a powerful evening honoring lesbians and queer folks of all ages, celebrating our stories, and building intergenerational community.

In partnership with the American LGBTQ+ Museum and the Fabulous Arts Foundation, we invite you to a screening of the short documentary Old Lesbians, followed by a panel conversation with lesbians and queer folks spanning generations.

The film follows retired schoolteacher Arden Eversmeyer on her journey across the country to preserve hundreds of life stories from lesbians born in the first part of the 20th century through the Old Lesbian Oral Herstory Project. Old Lesbians animates these pioneering, resilient voices and has been recognized with the 2023 Audible/Aesthetica Listening Pitch and commissioned by The Guardian, now screening worldwide at educational and community events.

OLD LESBIANS x YOUNG LESBIANS aims to create intergenerational queer spaces and spark conversation about what our growing community could look like well into the future.
