Since the 1960s, Old Home Day has been a fixture of Historic Richmond Town. Historic trades are demonstrated in historic houses and shops throughout the village, demonstrating the ways people lived and worked in the 19th century. Experience Staten Island’s past and present with displays by living historians and modern makers and cultural organizations. At The Dutch & Native Market, Living Historians representing indigenous people and Dutch settlers will be also on site to interpret the trading of goods, treaties and cultural exchange between the peoples of Staten Island in the 17th century.
