About the workshop:
Ali will guide you through producing a piece of art (inspired by an old doorway) encouraging you to use more than one media and to have fun in the process.
You will come away from the workshop brimming with new ideas to explore with other objects.
The emphasis is on mixing your media.
About the host:
Ali Hargreaves is an experienced art tutor. She has been a member of Stockport Art Guild for a number of years and teaches in Poynton, Cheshire.

Things you will need to bring:
Photo reference sheet (link to pdf provided) or use your own photo of a crumbling doorway.
'B' pencil
Paper of choice
Acrylic paints
Acrylic brushes
Drawing media of choice (ink and dip pen, charcoal, acrylic pen (e.g. Posca pens), acrylic ink and ruling pen, oil pastels etc)
Acrylic inks (black and white)
Paper of choice (Watercolour or acrylic etc...)
Two erasers
Sharp craft knife and cutting mat (or equivalent)
Water pot
Kitchen towel
A4 printer paper
Stencils with stone pattern (if you have them)
Piece of dowling
Brusho inks: grey, black and brown (if you have them)
Water spray bottle
Date: Tuesday 14th May 2024
Time: Arrive 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Event finishes approximately at 9.15pm with a 15-20 minute break in between.
Location: Quaker Meeting House, 2 Cooper Street, Stockport SK1 3DW.
Ticket price: £12 per person. (You can buy up to 2 tickets per purchase)
Free tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
