In a career which spanned over 50 years, E. Y. "Yip" Harburg (1896-1981) penned the words to nearly 600 songs and worked with at least 58 different composers on 25 Broadway revues and musicals and 11 Hollywood films. Yet when we ask just about anyone if they know Yip Harburg we generally get a "No. "Ahh," we reply, "but you know his songs! Brother, Can You Spare A Dime. It's Only A Paper Moon. April In Paris.
