Please join us on November 15, 2024 at the Century House in Acushnet as we celebrate, support, and help position Old Colony for the bright future that lies ahead. Join us as we honor our next group of inductees to the Old Colony Wall of Achievement. Every year we celebrate the success of Old Colony attendees and graduates, the instructors who have contributed, and the community that comes together to connect, create, and inspire.
Now more than ever, we welcome this "Night to Remember" as we plan for exciting happenings on the Old Colony horizon. We look forward to celebrating with you over music, silent auctions, and dinner. The following individuals will be honored as part of the 2024 Class of Inductees:
Nancy Souza, retired Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School Instructor (1983-2013) and retired Colonel from the Massachusetts Army National Guard (1983-2014), also serves as a current member of the Old Colony School Committee representing the Town of Mattapoisett. Nancy served in Desert Storm and led just over 100 men and women on the front lines in her role as Captain (at the time) and retired from the military as a Colonel in 2014.
Dr. Ricardo DeSousa (Electrical, 1991-1995) is a 1995 graduate of Old Colony from the Town of Acushnet. He is the President of the Anesthesia Department for Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital. Dr. DeSousa credits his instructors at Old Colony with helping him to learn to problem solve and think outside the box.
David Pimental is a graduate of the Old Colony House and Mill Carpentry Program and the owner/operator of Pimental Contractors. David is an owner who is on the job personally. He is experienced in all types of construction, including remodeling, renovations, commercial, property management, and specializes in coastal construction, where his deep knowledge of oceanfront building codes and materials is invaluable. David has remained connected with Old Colony, hiring many graduates as well as providing cooperative education positions with regularity. He has also been a major contributor to Old Colony's Scholarship Committee with his annual sponsorship of the spring Golf Tournament Fundraiser.
Kevin Roach (Electronics, 1979) is currently the President at Harpak-ULMA Packaging, LLC. A senior-level technology executive with proven global leadership and distinguished performance in operations/general management, financial management, strategic planning, R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing across multiple industries.Kevin has served as a Vice President fo General Electric; VP of Global Sales for BE; President of Rockwell Software, and much more. Kevin has proven himself as a growth focused leader with extensive training and execution of continuous improvement and process optimization & institutionalization.
