'Change of Venue - Saturday 13th August 2022Well it is a well known fact that South Australia is an 'AFL State'!! - so much so that the Adelaide Oval has cancelled our booking for the Old Collegians 85th Anniversary Gala Ball in favour of an AFL event
So we decided to go BIGGER and BETTER!!!!! and we are really pleased to announce that we have secured the Panorama Ballroom at the Adelaide Convention Centre for our event.
The ballroom boasts stunning views of the over the River Torrens and surrounding parklands and a HUGE dance floor to allow even BIGGER dance moves :) We've still got a Three Course Meal, Four Hour Drinks Package, Catherine Murphy as MC, Scott Higginbotham as Speaker, Chunky Custard for our entertainment and big dance moves all of which is outlined below as a reminder!
As an addition to all of this we've recently secured a 2022 Peugeot Django 150 Scooter as the main prize in our raffle!
Old Collegians RUFC are really pleased to announce that Catherine Murphy, the Sports Presenter for ABC's News Channel and News Radio, will be joining us at our forthcoming Gala Ball on Saturday 13th August 2022 and will MC our event.
We will also be joined by the one and only Scott Higginbotham. Scott, with 34 Wallaby Caps to his name recently retired from professional rugby finishing his career after a playing stint in Japan with NEC Green Rockets and more recently with Bordeaux Begles in France. Scott will be our speaker on the evening and will no doubt host a lively question and answer session also.
Not forgetting Australia's Number 1 Show Band 'Chunky Custard' who will be filling the dance floor throughout the evening.
