About this Event
Join IndyNAWIC on an exclusive tour of the Old Indianapolis City Hall with developer TWG! Following the tour, we will meet at Tap Indianapolis for an optional Women In Construction social gathering.
This four-story, Classical Revival style brick building clad in Indiana limestone, built in 1909–1910, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The building served as City Hall from 1910 until 1962 and housed the Indiana State Museum from 1966 to 2001. It was also temporarily used as the Central Library during its renovation.
In August 2023, the building and its adjacent parking lot were sold to TWG. The development firm plans to construct a 32-story tower with 190 residential units, 150 hotel rooms, 8,000 square feet of retail and hospitality space, and approximately 300 parking spaces. The tower will include a 21c Museum Hotel, which will occupy floors 6 through 13 and utilize parts of the old City Hall as a public art gallery.
Don’t miss this opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes construction of this new project that will change Indy’s skyline.
Members and non-members are welcome to attend!
PPE (hard hat, glasses, closed toe shoes) is required for all attendees. Please also bring a flashlight as visibility is limited in some areas.
