Old Asia Requiem: JPBS X A.P.R.A.
在某個時刻，音樂不再僅僅以旋律的形式流動，它與視覺、想像力，甚至是社會框架緊密交織，成為觀眾的一部分。"Old Asia Requiem" 便是基於這樣的思考，它將與南亞的聲韻帶入當代，打破文化的藩籬，創造出一種新的聲音體驗。
A.P.R.A. 以《La Fiesta》呈現了一種音樂的暗影，從東南亞與南亞的文化中汲取靈感，融合民族樂器與現場貝斯演奏，搭配複雜的節奏與深邃的低頻，展現出「新亞洲音樂」的可能性。
而 JPBS 則在《Waiting Room》中描繪出一個介於生與死之間的模糊空間，靈魂漂泊於時間與空間的交錯點，音樂在這裡成為了對文化邊緣的探索，打破了常規的結構。
"Old Asia Requiem" 是一次音樂與文化的重塑，在這場儀式中，我們得以透過聲音重新發現那些被忽視或遺忘的文化碎片，賦予它們新的生命。

▌樂團介紹：
✹ A.P.R.A.
A.P.R.A. 是一個源自德悉達提出的概念，可理解為在山窮水盡之時說出一句：「沒想法，還是回家吃飯好了！」。
他是破地獄創始成員，也是島國未來主義以及 2HRs 的成員，白天潛伏在巴比倫塔內，夜晚出沒於電子音樂、噪音、即興音樂、重金屬等生猛地下音樂場域；逢魔之時準備放火燒塔。
本次演出帶來即將發行的迷你專輯 La Fiesta 全內容，元取自與肢體舞者 Shum Shum Tu 合作作品《彌合：滴與落》配樂，大量取樣東南亞、南亞文化圈的民族樂器以及現場貝司演奏，並且搭以複拍以及錯落的迴響、深淵蔓延的低頻，是打破文化藩籬的「新亞洲音樂」。
✹ JPBS (Jia Pa Bor Sue) – เจี่ยป้าบ่สื่อ
JPBS 是一支成立於 2012 年的泰國器樂搖滾樂團，團名來自潮州話「吃飽沒事」，反映了他們「自找麻煩」創立樂團的初衷。團員多數就讀建築和設計學校，這影響了他們的音樂與藝術創作，融合後搖滾、實驗噪音、電子舞曲及泰國傳統音樂，創造出難以定義的獨特風格。首支單曲〈Rainy Day〉發表後，2023年他們推出首張專輯《Waiting Room》，描繪了一個名為「Limbo」的遺落世界。專輯融合多樣聲響，展現生命與死亡的奇幻旅程。JPBS 曾參與泰國多個音樂與設計節，與新媒體團隊 DuckUnit 合作，通過視覺和表演藝術創造深刻的現場體驗。今年他們於 9 月底首次登台，期望帶來對生命、文化與情感的演出。

At a certain moment, music transcends the mere flow of melodies—it intertwines with visuals, imagination, and even the social fabric, becoming an integral part of its audience. "Old Asia Requiem" is rooted in this understanding, bringing the sounds of Southeast and South Asia into the contemporary realm, breaking cultural barriers, and crafting a new sonic experience.
A.P.R.A. presents "La Fiesta," a shadowy soundscape drawn from the cultural depths of Southeast and South Asia, blending traditional instruments with live bass, intricate rhythms, and deep, resonant bass tones. This music unveils the possibilities of a "New Asian Sound." Meanwhile, JPBS, with their album "Waiting Room," explores a liminal space between life and death, where souls drift through intersections of time and space. Here, music becomes an exploration of cultural edges, breaking conventional structures.
"Old Asia Requiem" is a reshaping of music and culture. In this ritual, we rediscover overlooked or forgotten cultural fragments through sound, breathing new life into them.

▌Artist Introduction:
✹ A.P.R.A.
A.P.R.A. is a name derived from Jacques Derrida’s concept, meaning “I don’t know man, let’s go for dinner!”
He is one founding member of Scattered Purgatory, dub engineer and on keys of the Formosa beat big band Island Futurism, now also involved as the bassist of the neo-classical post rock act 2HRs.
This performance will showcase his finalized version of the mini album “La Fiesta”, originally the soundtrack of a performance piece with choreography artist Shum Shum Tu.
The music heavily sampled traditional instruments from Southeast and South Asian cultural spheres combined with live instruments, presenting polyrhythmic electronic music, overlapping echoes, and deep, resonating bass, advocating a “New Asian Music” to break the cultural barrier.
✹ JPBS (Jia Pa Bor Sue) – เจี่ยป้าบ่สื่อ
JPBS is an instrumental Thai rock band formed in 2012.
Most members attended architecture and design schools, influencing their music and artistic creations. They blend post-rock, experimental noise, electronic dance music, and traditional Thai music to create a unique, hard-to-define style.
After releasing their debut single "Rainy Day," they launched their first album, "Waiting Room," in 2023, depicting a forgotten world called "Limbo." The album blends diverse sounds, portraying a fantastical journey through life and death.
JPBS has participated in numerous music and design festivals in Thailand and collaborated with the new media team DuckUnit, creating immersive live experiences through visual and performing arts. This September, they will make their debut in Taiwan, hoping to deliver a performance about life, culture, and emotions.
