This month we celebrate 20 years of RHINO – Restoring Hope in New Orleans in partnership with St. Charles Avenue PCUSA! Pancakes are back, and we’ll gather neighbors, families, and volunteers to honor the impact of RHINO while continuing the work of building community together.
We’ll explore how our garden beds connect to the food we eat at the community table with Lead Gardener Billie Golan. Together, we’ll share stories, strengthen bonds, and grow both food and friendship.

Okra Abbey is on New Orleans Public School property at 1800 Monroe St.

We welcome groups, families, and individuals of all backgrounds to come work alongside neighbors in our community giving garden.
🌱 Weekly Hours:
• Mon–Thurs, 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
• Coffee on Mon/Tues/Thurs at 8:30 AM
• Grace & Greens community meal every Wednesday at Noon
100% of what we grow is shared through our Wednesday lunch, our community refrigerator, and directly to our neighbors’ porches.
