About this Event

We are beyond thrilled to make this event happen for our community in partnership 🤝 with We Create Space, a global community-led platform, consultancy and collective on a mission to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people and other under-represented groups of professionals around the world by connecting our communities and allies with tools, knowledge and a support network for personal growth, leadership development, allyship and self-care. Join us for a transformative wellbeing event designed specifically for queer individuals in tech!
🎯 What to expect:
- Panel discussion - We'll explore the latest research on wellbeing within our community, share personal stories of resilience, and discuss practical resources to enhance mental health. Together, let's build a supportive space for thriving in both work and life!
- Networking - Towards the end of the event we will mingle and gosstip and get to know each other better. We strive to make sure Out in Tech reamins your platform for getting to know new stories and people.
👩🏻🏫 About our speakers:
- Michael Stephens (he/they): He is our amazing moderator and the Founder of We Create Space. Michael is a passionate mental health advocate, often promoting the importance and value of prioritising wellbeing and self-care - especially within LGBTQ+ communities and the workplace.
- Vlad Zely (he/him): Vlad is a design executive and leadership coach, who spent an abundance of time with Hyper Island researching the intersection of queerness, leadership and wellbeing in Tech after the pandemic.
- Tim is a psychiatrist specialized in queer mental healthcare. He co-supervises Kaleidos, an Amsterdam-based mental health center dedicated to queer individuals with psychiatric issues. His line of research at the Amsterdam UMC focuses on trans and intersex mental health, and the impact of medical care as well as minority stressors.
- Gill Wells (she/her): Gill has been in the eCommerce industry for 15 years with various roles across the merchant and vendor landscape driving payment strategy and leading DEI initiatives. In her own words: “Wellbeing is my new definition of success and self discovery, relationships and purpose sit at its centre.“
