Discover the dynamic landscape surrounding the tallest mountain in North America with your very own oil painting! Join teaching artist Gabriel Islas inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center for this six-part course for all skill levels. Step-by-step instruction will teach students the foundational concepts of composition, color, and atmospheric perspective. This special landscape course will highlight Denali National Park, pulling from Gabriel’s own paintings and photographs from his trip to Alaska. This course will meet on six consecutive Fridays: October 17, October 24, October 31, November 7, November 14 & November 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This class is appropriate for everyone ages 16 and over. The cost of the six-part course is $250.00 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside the Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.
