It's clear that state lawmakers are absolutely obsessed with the LGBTQIA+ community in Ohio. Why else do they spend all their time (and our tax dollars) passing and putting forward bills that try to limit our rights? Perhaps with some Valentine's Day card magic, state legislators will show our community a little love by focusing on more pressing economic issues in 2026. Join Stonewall Democrats on Feb. 5 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. (this is a drop-in event) at Grindhrs Coffee and Community, and write a few Valentine's Day cards to Republican Statehouse leaders, asking that they show a little more heart and less hate towards the LGBTQIA+ community.
You are welcome to bring your own special Valentine's Day card, although we will have blank cards for you to use. We will also have a special Stonewall Valentine's Day card for a $5 purchase, which supports our efforts. All cards will be dropped in an envelope and mailed on your behalf.
