Ohio River Cleanup hosted by DJ Geek Techneek and Roots of Recovery HerbsWe're going to get back out there Sunday, August 24th from 10am-1pm to clean the river front! I'm encouraging everyone to get to Three Bridges Park on Front Street at 9:30am so we can sign waivers, pass out shirts, water, snacks, and make announcements at 10am for the whole group before we sweep the river's edge.
Last river sweep we did in May we had at least 60 volunteers that cleaned up over 100 bags of trash and covered the entire 1.5 mile stretch of the Ohio River front from Alexandria Point all the way to the Community garden. Some of the volunteers even went to 2nd Street and cleaned another 20 bags plus pulled some larger items from, well, I'm not sure where. But they did it, and they made this place even better for it.
