Ohh bats!!! ASL & Kid Friendly Wildlife Viewing Social. Every year, during the summer, I like to go out to the Yolo Bypass Wildlife area to watch 30,000+ fly out at dusk. This time I'm inviting Sacramento ASL Deaf Hiking group to join me and friends. Kid friendly event, important to arrive on time, to get parking and wait for the sunset which starts at 7:00pm. Bats don't follow DST. They will come out at dusk when the sun starts to set. Feel free to bring an umbrella & a camping chair to sit on while waiting. Bring snacks and water.
IMPORTANT!!: Do not park past the gate, they close at sunset. You will not be able to move your car out while the bats are flying out from under the causeway.
See you there!
