OH SNAP! A Canvas for Change is a social impact event where ten artists will transform ten canvases in a high-energy, live performance of creativity and collaboration, confronting the global hunger and hardship affecting millions today.
As the threat of deep cuts to SNAP benefits looms for millions of Americans already struggling to eat, we’re also turning our gaze outward — to Palestinians facing contamination and collapse of water systems, and to Sudanese families enduring famine and war.
The Concept
Ten artists. Ten canvases. Three minutes each.
Each artist creates in their chosen medium, rotating to the next canvas until a powerful, unified body of work emerges — a visual metaphor for solidarity and shared humanity.
The Experience
While artists create, poets and activists will perform and speak truth to the urgency of our times. Expect music, a cash bar, and a community atmosphere that fuses art, empathy, and action.
The completed works will be auctioned, and all event proceeds benefit organizations providing:
-Food assistance for U.S. families affected by SNAP reductions.
-Clean-water and infrastructure repair in Gaza.
-Emergency food relief for war-displaced Sudanese families.
