Oh la la mixes Parisian folk music ( musette) , French chanson with unforgettable 20’s upbeat to 50’smooth jazz, film noir/nouvelle vague film music and the occasional rearranged cool 60’s French pop tune as well as original material from their upcoming album .
The dulcet tones of Parisian born Fifi la Mer's voice and the evocative sound of her accordion blended with the talents of Oliver Wilby on clarinet will take you straight back to that little café by the Eiffel tower then encouraged by Alex Garnett's exuberance and beautiful saxophone playing they will transport you to that buzzy jazz club by Pigalle with the cool feel of Simon Picton on guitar and the groove of Julian Bury on double bass.
A collaborative of world class musicians who when not part of Oh la la! separately performs with Ray Gelato, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, The Ronnie Scott’s all stars to name a few.
Oh la la! have been performing over 1200 concerts over the past 10 years in venues up and down the countries including Ronnie Scott's jazz club , Upstairs at Ronnie's, over 700 times at the Brasserie Zedel ( Piccadilly ), the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Wilton Music Hall, the National Theatre, St Martin in the fields, the Ignite, Elgar room and Cafe Verdi @ the Royal Albert hall. They have also played on the Orient.
