An event by MétisAngel Oh, Bother! National Winnie-the-Pooh Day 🍯
Join us on January 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM for a casual geocaching get-together to celebrate National Winnie-the-Pooh Day.
January 18 is the birthday of A. A. Milne (born in 1882), the author who created Winnie-the-Pooh. His stories, first published in the 1920s, were inspired by his son Christopher Robin and have been loved for generations.
Morning is a very Pooh-like time of day—many of his adventures begin after breakfast and often lead toward thoughts of honey or “a little something” around elevenses. Our 10:00 AM start fits perfectly with that gentle, unhurried Pooh spirit.
The location chosen in Assiniboine Park is close to the Winnie-the-Pooh statue, so feel free to take a selfie to help celebrate the day. Be sure to log it on the virtual cache GC9P8TW Winnie the Bear 🐻
Everyone is welcome. Please log your Will Attend so we know who to expect. 🍯🐻
