Ohio Goes to the Movies™ (OGTTM) is an unprecedented statewide celebration of movies showcasing Ohioans in front of, and behind the camera (actors, directors, writers, composers) as well as Ohio locations and topics. A Signature Event of America 250-Ohio, OGTTM will start mid-February 2026 and run through October 2026, about 250 days of Ohio movie magic showcasing Ohio’s contributions to America’s film industry and moviemaking.Internationally acclaimed actors Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman star in a compelling drama of hope, friendship and atonement behind the walls of a maximum-security prison in The Shawshank Redemption (1994).
