About this Event

Certifying your MBE provides valuable resources, information, and connections that can help your business prosper and grow. Certification can also strengthen marketability when bidding on public contracts.

Please join us for an introduction to the resources and services offered by the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC) and Massachusetts Supplier Diversity (SDO) Office. The evening will include networking, light hors d'oeuvres and spirits, and brief remarks from the New Bedford Ocean Cluster, GNEMSDC, and SDO.

The event is free, but registration is required. Hosted by the New Bedford Ocean Cluster, in partnership with the GNEMSDC and SDO.

About Your Hosts:

New Bedford Ocean Cluster (NBOC)

The NBOC leverages New Bedford’s maritime strengths to attract investment, support the formation and growth of local maritime businesses, and create more value from our ocean resources to drive employment and local wealth. The NBOC's Act Local program supports the development of a diverse and equitable offshore wind supply chain in greater New Bedford through outreach, information sharing, and assistance to local businesses.

The Greater New England Minority Development Council

The GNEMSDC advances business opportunities for certified Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American business enterprises and connects them to corporate members. GNEMSDC serves the six (6) New England states: MA, CT, RI, ME, NH, and VT. GNEMSDC is part of the 23 council National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).

The Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (MA SDO)

The SDO’s mission is to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in state contracting for businesses owned by minorities, women, Portuguese, veterans, service-disabled veterans, those with a disability, and LGBT individuals, as well as small Massachusetts businesses. The SDO certifies these businesses and manages several programs that help them enhance their marketability when bidding on public contracts.
