The festival starts early! 💃🕺Before we move to the main venue on Friday, we’re kicking things off on Thursday, March 12th at Biblioteket Bar. This is the official warmup for Bergen Mambo Weekend, and the perfect chance to meet the community and dance with the international artists arriving in town.
🕗 THE PROGRAM
🔹 19:30 – 20:30: Son Cubano Workshop with Bram & Nina (Netherlands). They are as skilled in Mambo as they are in Afro-Cuban, making them the perfect pair to bridge these styles.
🔹 20:30 – 01:00: Social Dancing. A mix of Mambo/Salsa On2, Cuban Salsa, and Bachata.
🎧 THE MUSIC
Two festival favorites on the decks:
🔹 DJ Dmitri: Based in Germany and respected globally, Dmitri is a seasoned vinyl collector known for his intuitive ability to keep social floors full at major festivals across Europe and Asia.
🔹 DJ Sezar: Based in Oslo and internationally renowned across salsa congresses for 25 years, Sezar has a reputation for reading the floor perfectly, blending classic favorites with unexpected tracks to keep the energy high.

🔹 Workshop + Social: 120 NOK / 100 NOK (Students)
