Be a part of the official opening of 'The Avenue'. Previously known as Elm Avenue, this iconic section of Albury's Botanic Gardens has recently undergone a massive transformation to remove the Elms that were unfortunately at the end of their usable life after thorough assessment from arborists.The redevelopment of Elm Avenue has transformed the entry into the Albury Botanic Gardens into a vibrant, welcoming precinct now known as The Avenue. This major project delivered extensive upgrades including new drainage and lighting systems, garden bed construction, path and turf remediation, and the planting of new trees, perennials, and shrubs to enhance the natural beauty of the site.
Comprehensive works were carried out to improve safety and accessibility, including traffic and pedestrian management, irrigation and root barrier installation, and restoration of key infrastructure. With the completion of landscaping, mulching, and final site clean-up, The Avenue now offers a refreshed, sustainable, and picturesque gateway into one of Albury’s most loved green spaces.
