Still thinking about what to do over the bank holiday weekend? Come and join us to celebrate the newly refurbished play park at Scotch Quarry. On Sunday 24th August, 12.00pm - 2.30pm, Scotch Quarry Community Park along with Moorlands Community Group will be officially opening the new play park with a little bit of pomp and ceremony, a family friendly community picnic, music, stalls and games.
🌳 Official Park Launch
Ribbon cutting followed by access to park play equipment
🧺 Community Picnic
Bring your own picnic food, drinks, blanket and chairs (gazebo's will be in place in case of inclement weather!)
📚 Stalls
Community led stalls, including second-hand books and jigsaws
🎶 Live Music
Open mic style, with some local musicians lined up to play
And if you don't have children to play on the park, that's ok. The community picnic is for everyone to join in. Who knows, the sun may even make an appearance! ☀️
