I’m not sure if you know this, but I’m a death doula and a few years ago I wrote a book. Okay, I wrote a planner--an end-of-life planner to be exact. Dealing with death is an important aspect of life and frankly, we ignore it to the peril of ourselves and others. Starting soon, I’ll hold “office hours” at my shop, the Whimsy Mercantile, where we can work on the planner individually but also in a light-hearted, open-minded, community setting. Along with a hot beverage and a warm cinnamon bun, we’ll push the tables together and start working on our own individual life and death plans. This means, instead of lecturing at you and doing this as a workshop, you can work at your own pace, miss days without fomo, there’s no end date, and I’ll be around to help answer your questions. As we progress along, I may call in a local funeral director and estate lawyer to dig deeper into these subjects and I’ll have a notary around to provide their official seal. This is free. The only cost is purchasing cafe refreshements (or bring your own) and the Rest of Your Life Planner which is available for sale in the Whimsy shop.
