Fresh off his world tour with stops in Taiwan, Malaysia, New Zealand and South Africa, Oddisee will give his debut in South Carolina to promote his new record „And Yet Still“, out May 30th.
Oddisee is without a doubt one of the most enthralling independent hip-hop artists of the past 10 years.
The son of Sudanese and African-American parents, Amir Mohamed was born and raised in the United States capital city of Washington DC, spending hot summers in Khartoum learning Arabic and swimming in the Nile. Growing up amidst the sounds of New York hip-hop, his father playing Oud, Go-Go and gospel; Oddisee took his first steps as an MC and producer in the analog basement studio of his legendary neighbour, Garry Shider (Parliament Funkadelic).
With countless impressive projects under his belt - from the 2012 ‘Odd Renditions EP’ to his latest album ‘To What End’ - as well as performing with the Roots, producing for Jazzy Jeff, Little Brother, and De La Soul, Oddisee has become a world renowned musician.
