Continuing our series of films featuring benevolent aliens, we're screening "Cocoon" (1985). Starring Don Ameche, Wilford Brimley and Hume Cronyn.
When a group of trespassing seniors swim in a pool containing alien cocoons, they find themselves energized with youthful vigor. This film explores themes of friendship, aging, the desire for immortality and the beauty of human connections. It was both a critical and commercial success, winning two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (Don Ameche) and Best Visual Effects.
Rated PG-13. 1 hour and 57 minutes. Adults.
