About Thea Quiray Tagle, PhD
Thea Quiray Tagle, PhD (she/her) is a Filipinx femme curator, writer, and transdisciplinary scholar deeply invested in socially engaged art, site-specific performance, and photographic histories across the Pacific. Holding a PhD in Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego and previously a Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Associate in Asian American Studies at the University of Illinois, Dr. Quiray Tagle’s writing and research have appeared in American Quarterly, Verge: Studies in Global Asias, frieze, Hyperallergic, and BOMB Magazine.

Our Curator-in-Dialogue series aims to enrich the Providence-area arts community with public talks and studio visits led by nationally recognized curators. Designed to foster exchange and professional growth, the program also builds a lasting resource through an online archive for artists, students, and the broader public.
