The ODCC Annual Bank Holiday 6-A-Side Cup will take place on Sunday 24th August at Oxford Downs Cricket Club. Anyone who has been in previous years events will remember the tremendous fun had by all whether playing or supporting!All team slots are currently filled as follows:

Captains talk to your friends/mates/drinking partners/family, round up six players (must be over 18yrs old), then complete the form attached inside this event wall and return to Claire Bowden at [email protected] by Monday 18th August. Don't forget your fancy dress up too!
There will be the usual Bacon Sarnies, Cakes, Hog roast, a bar full of beer, wine and pop - it's a fun occasion for the whole family!
The competition is genuinely open to all abilities, so don't worry about the skill level of some of your friends. This just adds to the enjoyment and is actually what the day is all about.
The number of teams is limited to EIGHT so you must round up your SIX players, complete and return your entry form ASAP to ensure your side's inclusion. Once all entries are received further details will be sent to the team captains.
We will require some volunteers on the day providing the following services. Please contact Claire Bowden ([email protected]) if you are able to help with any of the following:
Bacon Sarnies, Tea and Coffee: From 8:30am - 10am (2 persons required)
Tea & Cake: From 3:00pm (2 persons required)
Pork Rolls & Salad: From 6:00pm (2 or more persons)
We will need some salad donations to be delivered by 5:30pm and cake donations to be delivered by 2pm please (anyone who would like to donate please let Claire know - we will repay you with a free pork roll and salad!)
We will also be needing umpires and scorers for the day if you are willing to help please let either Claire or Tom Ling know.
Your help is very much appreciated.
The competition will comprise of (for the actuaries amongst you):
• 8 teams each of 6 players
• 6 overs each innings (12 overs in a match)
• 5 bowlers in each team (Wicket Keeper does not bowl)
• All six to bat (face 1 over each)
• Time depending - A second competition (Wooden Spoon) will commence with teams knocked out in round one)
• Match Fees £5 per member or £7 per non-member
