Join us for a special volunteer meeting with The Center for Women and Families, an organization that has been a cornerstone of hope and empowerment in our region for more than a century.
Founded in 1912 as part of the YWCA in downtown Louisville, The Center began by equipping women and families with job training and employment opportunities. In the decades that followed, its mission expanded: offering services to survivors of sexual assault in 1975 and opening a shelter for domestic violence survivors in 1977.
Today, The Center continues to provide a full range of services 24/7, supporting survivors of intimate partner abuse and sexual assault—as well as the family, friends, and partners who walk alongside them.
