Jose Navarro grew up in Albacete, La Mancha, Spain, land of the famous Manchego cheese and Don Quixote. As La Mancha is the biggest area in the world of vines planted, a bottle of wine was part of every meal at home, where my father taught me the love for wine. After completing my Master's degree in International Business in 2009, I relocated to Miami, where I worked for the Spanish Trade Commission, assisting companies in establishing a presence in the US. After that, I decided to pursue my wine path working for Spanish wineries as a US representative, Wine importers at a national level and as a Head wine Buyer of the third larger retail chain in Florida (27 locations), helping me get a better understanding of US and Canada Wine laws system In 2021 as started my current positions as US and Canada Export Manager for La Rioja Alta SA, one of the most admired and awarded wineries in the world, where I’m able to continue sharing my passion for the wine world. Currently, I’ma WSET Dip candidate, and I have finished my degree in Winemaking at UC Davis University, California.
