If you enjoy leisurely bike rides with a wide variety of scenery, join us while we explore Idaho's longest rail trail on this two day 85 mile ride from alpine meadows to desert canyons. Located in southwest Idaho, the Weiser River Trail runs from Weiser to nearly New Meadows along the former Pacific and Idaho Northern rail line. The railroad corridor is owned by Friends of Weiser River Trail (FWRT), the sponsor of this event. FWRT is dedicated to providing a unique recreational opportunity along the trail including developed trailheads and a campground to assist trail users. OctoberTrek is an opportunity to experience our rail trail with all the amenities of a supported ride and helps you meet new cycling friends in a noncompetitive atmosphere.
The entry fee includes shuttle for the rider and bike, event shirt, meals, campground tent site and hot spring soak, luggage transportation, refreshments, sweep, and sag support. Before you register, see the October Trek participant information on https://weiserrivertrail.org/events for more details, including video and photos from past events.
The rider registration fee includes a T-shirt. Riders registering after we place the order on September 15 will receive a shirt at the event only if we have extras available. The shirt order deadline is September 15. We will determine the shirt color from what is available from the manufacturer in September.
If you have nonriders accompanying you, additional fees apply to them for camping and hot spring use and each meal the nonrider chooses to attend. Nonrider meals are limited to Saturday lunch, Saturday supper (includes hot spring and tent camping), and Sunday breakfast. Nonriders are not eligible for Sunday lunch because it will be on the trail. Contact us for breakout of costs at [email protected].
Event registration is for tent camping at Mundo Hot Springs. There are optional RV site, a 6 bunk hostel, hotel style room or cabin available at additional cost. Reservations may be made directly with Mundo Hot Spring at 208-257-3849.
