Did you know sand dollars are sea urchins? During this Teachable Tuesday we will learn all about these amazing creatures that wash up on Georgia’s beaches (particularly Tybee and Jekyll Island). We’ll learn about their diet, life cycle, and role within the marine ecosystem as we take a look at the SCT sand dollar collection. Online registration required. Non-members are $5 per participant; Free for members.
Parking is at the Fayette County Library (1821 Heritage Pkwy, Fayetteville, GA 30214) in the back left of the parking lot. There is a flag that marks the entry to the short trail that will lead you up to the nature center.
