About this Event

Looking for a wonderful way to keep your child engaged, active, and learning during the October half-term?

Join our October Holiday Club, specially designed for children aged 7-16, where every day is filled with exciting activities and new friends!

Our club is unique — all activities are conducted in English and Polish, providing a fantastic opportunity for children to develop language skills in a natural, fun environment. Whether your child is a native Polish speaker, learning Polish for the first time, or just curious about the language and culture, this camp is the perfect fit!


What will your child experience?
  • Creative arts and crafts encouraging imagination and fine motor skills
  • Interactive games fostering teamwork, communication, and friendship
  • Language workshops introducing or reinforcing language skills
  • Outdoor play and nature exploration to stay active and healthy
  • Cultural activities celebrating traditions and multicultural understanding
  • Friendly, experienced bilingual staff ensuring a safe, supportive environment

Daily schedule:

• 9:00–9:30 AM – Welcome, language warm-up, breathing and relaxation exercises

• 9:30–10:30 AM – Thematic workshops (including rhythm, drama, theatre exercises,

concentration games)

• 10:30–11:00 AM – Cooking workshops: preparing a healthy breakfast

• 11:00–11:30 AM – Breakfast break, tasting of home-made meals

• 11:30 AM–1:00 PM – Creative/art/theatre activities, singing, dancing, movement

games, exercises to build self-confidence and concentration

• 1:00–1:30 PM – Lunch break

• 1:30–2:30 PM – Thematic trip, field games with elements of environmental and health

education

• 2:30 PM–3:00 PM – Emotional workshops (recognizing and regulating emotions, success

journal)

• 3:00 PM–4:00 PM – Daily summary, active play, relaxation, discussions about health and

ecology



Program components:

• Environmental education: daily mini-workshops on saving water, energy, recycling, and respecting nature.

• Health education: talks about health, hygiene, physical activity, the importance of sleep; practical preparation of healthy meals.

• Independence and self-confidence: independent meal preparation, keeping a success journal, presentations of own work, games and activities that build self-esteem.

• Emotion regulation: breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, working with emotion cards, conversations about feelings, games that teach cooperation and conflict resolution.

• Self-development: daily summaries, discussions about strengths, planning goals for the next day, support in discovering one's talents and interests.


Organizers and Support:
• PLCA Foundation Charity no 1170478 and Fundacja Młode Pokolenia – organizations with experience working with children.
• Partial funding: Institute for the Development of the Polish Language (IRJP) as part of the “Holidays with the Polish Language” project.

Staff and Safety
• Activities are led by qualified educators with DBS certificates, first aid, food safety training.
