ABOUT GERMAN-HERITAGE MONTH
Since 1989, German-American Heritage Month has been sponsored in October by the German-American Citizens’ League, which was founded in 1895. The first permanent German settlement in America was founded in October, on the 6th, in 1683 at Germantown, Pennsylvania. So, October is celebrated nationally as German-American Heritage Month.
