FAQs
Where is the event?
Wednesday 30th October - 9am - 4pm - Thomas A Becket Infant School, Worthing
What age is this suitable for?
Children aged 4+years
Is this a Drop off and Go workshop?
Yes. You are kindly asked to leave the building after drop off.
What time can I come and watch my child's presentation?
3.30-4pm is parent showing time!
My child can be shy, Can I sit and watch in the corner?
No, in our experience, shy children tend to hide behind a grown up rather than get stuck in. We play plenty of interactive games to warm the group up and get the children into a comfortable, relaxed, but positively excited frame of mind. We always have plenty of assistants available for less confident children, that need more support.
Will I have to fill in a sign up form?
No. By purchasing a ticket you agree to all of our Terms as written here, and any health issues or allergies must be emailed to [email protected] AT LEAST 3 days before the event. You will also have to sign them in and out.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You may park on the road just outside the school
There are consistent bus routes and train routes nearby
What can I bring into the event?
Plenty of water and a healthy packed lunch with healthy snacks are advised. FOOD IS NOT PROVIDED, although light refreshments and treats may be given. You are responsible for any possessions they may bring, and so bring them at your own risk.
What shall my child wear to the event?
Comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for exercise should be worn. No jewellery is allowed. Long Hair tied back. Please be aware that craft supplies will be used, and we can not guarantee your child will be collected as clean as they arrived, so no Sunday bests!
Can my older/younger children attend the session?
No. We strictly work with in the age limits set for a class, to ensure the content is appropriate and enjoyed by all. Everyone attending the event must have a valid ticket.
Are there changing facilities at the venue?
No. Everyone must come dressed appropriately.
Who will be leading the classes?
Kerry will be leading the Streetdance day with the help of well experienced assistants and teachers. She is a professional, authentic Streetdance specialist, who has over a decade of teaching experience for all ages. She is one of the 5%, fully qualified, government accredited Streetdance teachers in the World, who takes her own personal development as a credible street dancer just as seriously as her ability to teach it. Not only will she teach you some funky moves and grooves, she will do it with a big smile on her face (unless its time to do the stern gangster street dance face!)
Will my child be safe?
There is always a first aider on site, DBS checked, with insurances in place. We have plenty of staff at hand, so rest assured, your child is in safe hands! We also have risk assessments and Covid policies in place.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
You can email Kerry at [email protected]
What if my child has any medical conditions or injuries?
It is up to you to inform the teacher of any medical conditions they might have. If such information is not disclosed, it is a your own risk, and your sole responsibility should they participate. Please consult your GP for any advise, and If appropriate, a letter from your GP maybe required to join the workshop.
Do you take children with Special Education Needs?
Yes! We would encourage a chat to discuss their individual needs BEFORE signing up. We will try to accommodate as best as possible. Some cases we may not be able to accommodate you, and it would be for the emotional and/or physical safety of all members that we would make that decision.
